Behavior Modification
Treatment characterized by group confrontation, these are strict modified 12-step programs, wherein spirit is broken down in order to rebuild from a clean slate. Usually government-funded.

12-Step Program
Treatment is modeled after the 12-step Alcoholics Anonymous program, rooted in belief that addiction is an incurable disease to be managed rather than cured/conquered.

Religious
Mild in nature, addicts seek help through spiritual guidance and hard work.

Biophysical
Treatment is non-medical, non-religious and holistic in approach. Pays specific attention to the physical side of addiction in order to eliminate the symptoms of addiction. Addiction is classified as a curable condition, rather than an incurable disease.
